CMT Sound Systems LLC started out as a small sound and entertainment side-business, and has now grown into a full live production company. Owner and President, Christopher Tekirian, started out as a musician in 4th grade. Having a background with musical instruments and performance, he was surrounded by all genres of music and artists. In 1998 he formed CMT Entertainment and Sound Systems providing DJ services, sound systems and lighting effects for all types of events. Over the next few years, he learned more about the audio industry, mainly working with some of the high school musicals, talent shows and local bands. Then in 2001 he closed the entertainment portion of the company to focus on the sound and lighting. He has traveled to many cities throughout the US gaining new knowledge in this industry. Some examples are stadium and arena rigging in Chicago, entertainment electric in Nashville, JBL Vertec/VTX training in California, Sennheiser wireless training in NYC and Yamaha digital console training in New Jersey. He also attended 3 years of training in Residential and Commercial Electrical.
Over the years, the company has grown tremendously. What started out as a home based business having only a few speakers, 1 mixer and some microphones, is now supplying everything needed for a live production event along with equipment rental services. In our New Jersey based, 2000 sq ft warehouse we store, demo and maintain our sound systems, lighting, portable staging, audio visual equipment, backline and portable generators. We also have our mobile stage and mobile generator available for larger outdoor events.
